dfree's question on what header type you are running is a good one. 1 7/8 vs 2 1/8 might not matter much. If you are running the Dove-C standard exhaust port headers it will hurt you a little. If it is both you are probably loosing a good chunk of power off the new heads. If this is the case the header would be the first place to start imo.
