Duramax ticking noise.

I currently own a 2011 Duramax LML with around 500 miles. Since first taking delivery and continuing at 500 miles, I notice a howling noise whenever the engine is under load. It can be heard at almost any RPM, but seems most noticeable around 1200 to 2000 RPM. Almost sounds like blowing arcross to top of an empty bottle.The noise could be described as an irregular ticking or clacking sound, like random typing on a mechanical typewriter. This condition has been present in diesel engines produced for the last 20 or more years. 08 lmm. A few day ago I noticed a ticking noise coming from my engine but it's only when it's cold. Cant quit pin point where the noise is. When it warms up its gone. The only thing I've done to the truck is change the oil about a week ago. If anyone can helpe please chime in thanks.
