I mostly notice this while sitting in traffic. The symptom occurs when I completely remove my foot from the accelerator and reapply pressure.Every light on the dashboard went on and the car wouldn't drive but the engine ran fine. Honda said the same thing - bad sensor because of metal debris in the transmission. It's a 2016 with 55k miles on it and so out of warrantee. They said it would be $6200 to fix.
